September 2003 Washington Wine Club
2001 Isenhower Wild Alfalfa Columbia Valley Syrah
Just opened the new Wine Spectator. This wine received a Spectator Selection -
and has sold out completely. Not bad. Brett and Denise Isenhower have
always made fine wines, and I´m glad to see them getting the recognition they
deserve. They´re based in Walla Walla. It´s ready to go, but
will hold up for five years - at least.
2000 Holloran Le Pavillon Vineyard Chardonnay
Yes, I know it´s an Oregon wine. It´s also outstanding, in short
supply, and I just couldn´t let a few hundred miles of geography get in the
way! It´s ready to drink.
