2001 Buty Columbia Valley Cabernet Franc -
Merlot
Does Caleb Foster make a bad wine? Ever? The three red
Buty (pronounced "beauty") releases have all been
spectacular, selling out with an insane rapidity. There´s
reason. They´re thick-bodied, well-made wines from this
former assistant at Woodward Canyon. Their white wines are
superb as well. For what this wine is, the price is reasonable:
$35.00, and they have no intention of raising their prices anytime
soon.
2001 Page Cellars Syrah Chandler Reach
Vineyard
This wine was made for Gig Harbor´s Page Cellars by Matt Loso of
Matthew´s Cellars. You might recall that Matthew´s
Syrah, also from Chandler Reach Vineyard, was in this club earlier.
This will be an outstanding comparison and, if you´d like
to stretch the experiment along a bit, Chandler Reach Vineyard´s
own release is in stock as well. In any case, it´s REAL
limited and of outstanding quality - but you knew that, right?
