2003 Owen Roe Yakima Valley Red Wine
Winemaker David O´Reilly has once again crafted a wine that blends power and
elegance, a rare combination. It´s a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and
Cabernet Sauvignon from three of the top Yakima Valley vineyards - DuBrul, Elerding,
and Rosa Mystica Block. This needs some cellar time - please give it at least a
few years, and preferably about five, and then enjoy it with a good cut of beef.
It´s $42.00, and all gone.
2003 Cayuse Cailloux Vineyard Viognier
I am a big fan of Christophe Baron´s wines. Last time he was in, I was
able to talk him out of just enough of these wines for this club. As with all
his wines, they´re in very limited supply - the easiest way to get ‘em is to
get on his mailing list. I feel quite fortunate that we´re able to have
these on the shelf! It´s $35.00, and ready to drink. Enjoy!
... and I bet you´d thought I´d forgotten about Washington wines
in this club!
