2000 Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin "Coeur de Roy"
This wine´s from an absolute master of Burgundy. It´s made in a
rich, ripe style, with plenty of structure and moderate tannins; I´d recommend
holding off on consuming this gem until 2006, and getting around to it prior to 2012.
It´s a wine that both Parker and Tanzer absolutely rave about, and
there´s not a lot of any wines by this producer around. It´s
$85.50, and I don´t anticipate coming up with more ...
2001 Navarro Mendocino Chardonnay
This one´s not often found in the retail pipeline; it´s usually reserved
for restaurants. It´s nice to find a reasonably-priced ($14.50) wine that
has this quality and scarcity. We should be able to obtain a bit more, and
it´s ready to drink. Enjoy!
